Opening the Mauritanian-Algerian Border Crossing to Facilitate the Transit of People and Goods Between the two Countries

The Ministry of Interior and Decentralization announced, in a statement today, Saturday, that it has taken all necessary measures to open the “Martyr Mujahid Ismail Ould Bardi” border crossing, starting Friday, with the aim of facilitating the smooth transit of people and goods to and from the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria.

This comes under the directives of His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, and after his supervision, along with his brother, President of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, of the opening of two border crossings between the two brotherly countries, according to the statement.

These measures also embody the will of the leaders of the two countries and their constant aspiration to raise the ceiling of exchanges and cooperation and strengthen the bonds of brotherhood, friendship and good neighbourliness, according to the same source.
