President of Republic Returns to Nouakchott From Algeria

On 22 February, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, the President of the Republic, returned to Nouakchott from Tindouf after a working and friendship visit to the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria.

During this visit, the Head of State supervised, with His Excellency Abdelmadjid Tebboune, the President of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, the opening of two border crossing points between Mauritania and Algeria, and the launch of the Tindouf-Zouerate road works.

His Excellency was welcomed at the Nouakchott International Airport by the Prime Minister Mr. Mohamed Ould Bilal Messoud, the Minister Counselor at the Presidency of the Republic, several members of the Government, the Chief of Special Staff of the President of the Republic, the Deputy Director of the Cabinet of the President of the Republic, the Wali of Nouakchott-West, and the Vice President of the Nouakchott Region.

His Excellency the President of the Republic was accompanied by a large delegation including Messrs.:

– Mokhtar Ould Diay, the Minister in Charge of the Cabinet of the President of the Republic; – Mohamed Ahmed Ould Mohamed Lamine, the Minister of Interior and Decentralization;

– Lemrabott Ould Bennahi, the Minister of Trade, Industry, Handicraft, and Tourism;

– Mohamed Ali Ould Sidi Mohamed, the Minister of Equipment and Transport;

– Sidi Mohamed Ould Mohamed Abdallahi, the Ambassador of Mauritania to Algeria,

– Major General Abdallahi Ahmed Aicha, the Chief of Staff of the National Gendarmerie;

– Chief Inspector Hamdouh Ould Cheikh Abdallahi, the Director General of Customs;

– Ahmed Ould Neinni, an advisor at the Presidency of the Republic;

– Mohamed Mahmoud Ould Emmat, an advisor at the Presidency of the Republic;

– Mohamedou Ould Mhaimid, an advisor at the Presidency of the Republic;

– El Hassan Ould Ahmed, the Director General of State Protocol.
