President of Republic, Chairperson of AU Meets Congolese Counterpart

His Excellency the President of the Republic and rotating Chairman of the African Union, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh Ghazouani, met on Sunday morning, on the sidelines of the thirty-seventh ordinary session of the General Assembly of Heads of State and Government of the African Union, with His Excellency the President of the Republic of the Congo, Mr. Denis Sassou Nguesso, who expressed warm congratulations on his assumption of the presidency of the African Union.

The talks also focused on ways to enhance and develop bilateral cooperation relations between the two friendly countries, elevate the level of cooperation among African Union countries, and discussed regional and international issues of common interest.
