Minister of Petroleum Holds Talks with European Delegation on Hydrogen Partnership

The Minister of Petroleum, Mines and Energy, Government Spokesman, Mr. Nani Ould Chrouka, gave Thursday morning in Nouakchott, in front of a high-level European delegation, headed by Marion Le Guillau, Head of the European Union Delegation, and with the membership of representatives of several European companies specialized in the field of hydrogen, a detailed presentation on investment opportunities in Mauritania, especially in the field of hydrogen and the prospects for cooperation it offers.

The minister listened to the interventions of the directors of European companies who expressed their interest in the field of investment in Mauritania, expressing their vision of the great role that our country has become qualified to play in the global effort to develop renewable energies, stressing the importance of the significant natural capabilities that our country abounds in.

The meeting with this delegation comes within the framework of the current visit of the Prime Minister of Spain to our country, strengthening the partnership with the European Union and seeking to develop Mauritania’s capabilities in the field of renewable energies, especially green hydrogen.
