Nouakchott Region President Receives Mayor of N’Djamena

On 2 February, in Nouakchott, Ms. Fatimatou Mint Abdelmaleck, the President of the Nouakchott Region, received Ms. Fatima Zohra Duc, the Mayor of the municipality of N’Djamena.

The meeting was an opportunity for Ms. Zohra Duc to discuss ways to strengthen cooperative relations with the Nouakchott region through the exchange of expertise and experiences and take advantage of Ms. Mint Abdelmaleck’s presidency in office of the United Cities and Local Governments of Africa (UCLG) to strengthen the partnership between the municipality of N’Djamena and this institution.

In turn, Ms. Mint Abdelmaleck thanked the Mayor of the Chdin capital for her visit and stressed the need to strengthen South-South cooperation, promising that the Nouakchott region will make great efforts to this end, taking into account its close relations with regional and international organizations specializing in development.
