President of Republic Arrives in the City of Kaédi to Inaugurate Service and Development Projects in Gorgol Wilaya

His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, arrived today, Thursday, in the city of Kaedi, at the beginning of an inspection visit to the Wilaya of Gorgol, during which he will inaugurate some service and development projects, within the framework of the celebrations commemorating the 63rd anniversary of National Independence Day.
The President of the Republic was received, upon boarding the plane, by the Wali of Gorgol, Mr. Ahmedna Ould Sid Ebb, the President of the Regional Council of Gorgol, Mr. Amadou Abou Ba, the Commander of the Seventh Military Region, Colonel Mohamedou Larbi Jaafar, the Governor of Kaédi Province, its mayor, and the heads of the military and security formations in the Wilaya.
His Excellency the President of the Republic reviewed formations from the Seventh Military District and others from the National Guard who gave him a salute of honor, before His Excellency shook hands with his senior recipients, including candidates, executives, notables, and other personalities who came to receive him.
The residents of Gorgol State gave a huge popular welcome to His Excellency the President of the Republic, raising national flags, enlarged pictures of His Excellency, and banners praising the achievements that the country has witnessed during the past four years.
The popular reception included folkloric dances and popular songs that expressed the residents’ celebration of the visit of His Excellency the President of the Republic to the Wilaya.
