On 6 December, in Nouakchott, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, the President of the Republic and President of the Higher Council of the Magistracy, received the members of the Executive Bureau of the Mauritanian Magistrates Club, ledby its secretary general, Mr. Moulaye Ely Ould Moulaye Ely.The meeting discussed ways to develop and reform justice.
At the end of the meeting, the Secretary General of the Club made the following statement to the Mauritanian news agency:
“The Executive Bureau of the Mauritanian Magistrates Club had the honor today of meeting His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, the President of the Republic, President of the Higher Council of the Judiciary.
During the meeting, the Executive Office reviewed with His Excellency, the President of the Republic, the means of developing and reforming justice and strengthening its independence through the implementation of the National Charter for Development and Reform of Justice
. The Executive Office also listened to the high directives of His Excellency the President of the Republic aimed at reforming and developing justice. The Executive Office presented urgent requests, to which His Excellency the President of the Republic responded positively. On this occasion, we can only thank His Excellency the President of the Republic for allowing us to present the vision of the Magistrates Club in terms of reform and development of justice. We also thank him for his apparent desire to develop and reform justice, to consolidate and strengthen its independence, in the service of social peace, judicial security, development, and investment. »
