The President of the Republic, Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani supervised Friday morning in Nouakchott the laying of the foundation stone for three transport infrastructure projects, at a total cost of about 5.5 billion MRU, fully financed from the state budget.
These facilities, which are part of activities commemorating the 63rd anniversary of National Independence Day, include the Nouakchott Mobility expansion project by 2026, the construction of a headquarters for the public transport company, and the construction of a new 35 km of urban road network in Nouakchott.
During each stop, His Excellency the President of the Republic received from those in charge of these projects detailed explanations about the technical methods that will be adopted in their construction and the quality and characteristics of each project.
These projects aim to develop transport infrastructure and improve the quality and service of urban public transport for people.
