President of Hodh Charghi’s Regional Council Holds Meeting with UNHCR Representative

The president of the regional council of Hodh Charghi, Mr. Mohameddou Ould Tijani , held a meeting on Wednesday with the representative of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), Mme Maria Stavropoulo.

During the meeting, both parties reviewed the aspects of cooperation between the organization and the region of Hodh Charghi, particularly in the fields of education, health, agriculture, and income-generating activities for Malian refugees in Mbera camp and villages adjacent to it.

After the meeting, the representative of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees made a statement to the Mauritanian News Agency, in which she said that this meeting discussed the most effective ways to promote joint action for the benefit of the inhabitants of Mbara refugees camp and adjacent villages.
