President of Republic Leaves for USA

On 18 September, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, the President of the Republic, left Nouakchott for New York (United States of America) to attend the work of the 78th session of the General Assembly of the NationsUnited scheduled from the 19 to 26 September.

Upon his departure from Nouakchott International Airport (Oumtounsy), His Excellency the President of the Republic was greeted by the Prime Minister, Mr. Mohamed Bilal Messoud, the Minister Secretary General of the Presidency of the Republic, the Minister Counselor atthe Presidency of the Republic, some members of the government, the Chief of Staff of the President of the Republic, the Deputy Director of Cabinet of the President of the Republic, the Wali of Nouakchott-West, and the Vice Presidentof the Nouakchott region.

The President of the Republic is accompanied by a large delegation including:

– Mokhtar Ould Diay, the Minister, Director of Cabinet of the President of the Republic,

– Mohamed Salem Ould Merzoug, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad,

– Abdessalam Ould Mohamed Saleh, the Minister of Economic Affairs and Sustainable Development

– Sidi Ould Mohamed Lagdaf, the Permanent Representative of Mauritania to the United Nations,

– Ms. Cisse Mint Beida, the Ambassador of Mauritania in Washington,

– Mohamed Mahmoud Ould Emmat, an advisor at the Presidency of the Republic,

– Sid Ahmed Ould Bouh, an advisor at the Presidency of the Republic,

– Hassan Ould Ahmed, the Director General of State Protocol.
