President of Republic Congratulates Governor General of Canada

On 30 June, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, the President of the Republic, sent a message of congratulations to Her Excellency Ms. Marie Simon, the Governor General of Canada, on the occasion of the celebration by her country of its National Day.

In this message, His Excellency affirmed Mauritania’s desire to develop and strengthen relations of friendship and cooperation with Canada.

“Excellency Madam Governor-General,

The celebration of your country’s National Day offers me the pleasant opportunity to send you my warmest congratulations and express my best wishes for progress and prosperity to the friendly Canadian people.

I take this opportunity to reaffirm to you our desire to work with Your Excellency to develop and strengthen the relations of friendship and cooperation between our two countries.
