Mauritania Elected Member of UN Economic, Social Council

On 8 June, Mauritania was elected as a member of the UN Economic and Social Council for the period 2024-2026, with 189 votes out of 192.

The Economic and Social Council is one of the main organs of the United Nations along with the General Assembly, the Security Council, the Trusteeship Council, and the International Court of Justice.
