Minister of Agriculture Returns to Nouakchott

On 20 March, the Minister of Agriculture, Yahya Ould Mohamed El Waqf, returned to Nouakchott after a working visit to the United Arab Emirates and Kuwait.

During his stay in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, the Minister signed a memorandum of understanding with the Khalifa International Award for Date Palm and Agricultural Innovation relating to the organization of a second edition of the International Festival of Mauritanian Dates. He had also met with several Emirati and Kuwaiti officials in development funds and discussed the possibility of financing priority projects for the Mauritanian agricultural sector.
