Minister of National Defense Returns to Nouakchott

On 24 February, the Minister of National Defense, Mr. Hanena Ould Sidi, returned to Nouakchott from Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates) where he participated in the International Defense Conference (IDC 2023), which was held beforeIDEX and NAVDEX exhibitions.

The conference, which brought together more than 1,800 participants including a large number of leaders and managers of regional and international defense and security companies, was organized under the theme “Adaption, Exploration, Transformation: Reimagining Security, Society, and the Human Experience in an Age of Disruption“.

Four panel discussions focusing on the social and economic impacts and risks of the widespread adoption of new technologies, talent development, and human capital management, as well as the impact of emerging technologies on modern operations and the future of

the war brought the participants together.
