On 21 February, in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia), Mr. Mohamed Ould Soueidatt, the Minister of Culture, Youth, Sports, and Relations with Parliament, participated in the work of the international ministerial conference on sports ethics.
Organized for the first time, the conference aims to discuss the importance of ethics and honesty in sports and the consequences that lead to the absence of these values and ideals in the world of sports, and any abuses that could threaten security and peace or tarnish the image of sports.
The absence of these values will change the vocation of sports to make it a field of confrontation, hate, and racism, while it is a ground of understanding, fraternity, and friendship.
On the sidelines of this conference, workshops were held dealing with these subjects in their legal, moral, and political aspects.
Several international organizations, including the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, the international police, and the UNESCO high-level committee of experts, in addition to dozens of delegations from different countries, attended the conference.
