On 16 January, in Nouakchott, Mr. Mohamed Salem Ould Merzoug, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad, received HE Ms. Viornik Petit, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium to Mauritania with residence in Rabat, Kingdom of Morocco, accompanied by HE Mr. Bart de Grove, the Ambassador and Special Envoy of Belgium for the Sahel.

The meeting reviewed the distinguished relations between the two countries, ways of enhancing them to serve common interests, and issues of common concern.
