Presidency of Republic Announces Appointment of CENI’s Members

The Presidency of the Republic announces
– As culmination of the political agreement resulting from the consultation between the government and the political parties on 26 September 2022;
– After having read the statement released by the Independent National Electoral Commission on 3 October 2022,
– Based on the proposals of the majority and the opposition on 31 October 2022,
– Under the provisions of Law No. 027 – 2012 of 12 April 2012 as amended establishing the Independent National Electoral Commission, particularly in its article six (new).
– And in application of the provisions of Article 4 of Decree No. 055-2018 on 28 March 2018, specifying the procedures for appointing the members of the Independent National Electoral Commission:
The following persons have been appointed as members of the Independent National Electoral Commission:
1) Ebbe Ould Mbari
2) Dah Ould Abdel Jelil
3) Babocar Souley
4) Baba Ould Boumeiss
5) Bilal Ould Werzeg
6) Djeinaba Tandia
7) Koumba Sy
8) Lamina Mohamed Bouya Momme
9) Mohamed Lemine Ould Dahi
10) Mohamed Mokhtar Mellil
11) Moulaye Ould Brahim
