President of Republic Receives Special Envoy from Iranian President

The President of the Republic, H.E. Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El-Ghazwani, received Monday Mr. Massoud Hosseinian, the Iranian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for the Middle East and North Africa, a special envoy of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, H.E. Mr. Ibrahim Raisi.

In a statement to the Mauritanian News Agency, he said that he conveyed a message from the Iranian President, H.E. Mr. Ibrahim Raisi, to the President of the Republic, H.E. Mr. Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El-Ghazwani.

He added that he discussed with the president of the republic the bilateral relations between the two countries and the latest developments in the region.

The meeting took place in the presence of the Director of the President’s Office, Mr. Mohamed Ahmed Ould Mohamed El Amine, Mr. Mohamed Lamine Ould Abey Ould Cheikh El Hadrami, Officer in Charge of Special Duties at the Presidency of the Republic, His Excellency Mr. Amir Ali Imam Joumaa, the Iranian ambassador to Mauritania, Mr. Ali Ghoumeichi, Director of the Political Department at the Middle East and North Africa Directorate at the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
