President of Republic Kicks off African Conference for Promoting Peace

The President of the Republic, His Excellency, Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, supervised on Tuesday in Nouakchott the opening of the African conference for promoting peace.

The participants in this three-day event, organized under the theme: “making peace to the world”, will receive various presentations and interventions relating to the status quo of the region, approaches to dismantle the discourse of hate and extremism, rectifying the meaning of Shariah concepts, and Africa: the continent of the future.

the conference’s themes also include African heritage: a vehicle for peace, African women and youth: peace bet and development challenges, and illegal immigration: recurrent tragedy and humanitarian approaches.

A group of erudite scholars, thinkers and representatives of some Arab and Islamic governments participate in this conference.
