Nouakchott

The Minister of Justice, Mr. Mohamed Ould Soueydatt, departed the capital last night, bound for the Republic of Sierra Leone to participate in a high-level regional symposium on cooperation with the International Criminal Court, scheduled to take place in the capital, Freetown, on October 22 and 23.

The symposium is being held under the theme: “Strengthening Cooperation and Integration with the International Criminal Court: A Partnership in Combating Impunity for the Most Serious Crimes Under International Law,” as part of efforts to enhance international judicial cooperation, consolidate the principles of international criminal justice, and support accountability for the most serious crimes, thereby contributing to the fight against impunity.
