The Islamic Republic of Mauritania has strongly condemned the attacks targeting King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh and Abha International Airport in the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, reaffirming its full solidarity with the Kingdom.
This was stated in a press release issued on Friday by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Mauritanians Abroad, which reads as follows:
“The Islamic Republic of Mauritania strongly condemns the terrorist attacks targeting King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh and Abha International Airport in the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which resulted in casualties and material damage.
While expressing its full solidarity with the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Islamic Republic of Mauritania reiterates its rejection of all forms of violence and terrorism and affirms its support for the Kingdom in all measures it takes to protect its security and ensure the safety of its citizens and residents.
Mauritania also extends its sincere condolences and sympathy to the families of the victims and wishes the injured a speedy recovery. It further stresses the need for regional and international efforts to be united in order to put an end to such attacks and prevent their recurrence.”
