Mauritania has expressed its strong condemnation and deep denunciation of the attacks targeting the sisterly State of Kuwait, reaffirming its full solidarity with and support for Kuwait.
This came in a statement issued today, Thursday, by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad, which reads as follows:
“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad expresses its strong condemnation and deep denunciation of the attacks targeting the sisterly State of Kuwait, and of the resulting violation of its sovereignty, threat to its security and stability, and endangerment of the safety of its citizens and residents.
While the Islamic Republic of Mauritania reaffirms its full solidarity with and support for the sisterly State of Kuwait, it reiterates its categorical rejection of all forms of aggression that threaten the security and stability of the countries of the region. It also emphasizes the necessity of respecting the rules of international law and the principles of good neighborliness.
The Islamic Republic of Mauritania also calls for the utmost restraint and for prioritizing dialogue and diplomacy, thereby contributing to reducing tensions and safeguarding the security and stability of the region.
