National Assembly Speaker Discusses Parliamentary Cooperation with High-Level Chinese Delegation

The Speaker of the National Assembly, Mr. Mohamed Bembe Meguett, received today, Wednesday, in Nouakchott, the Vice Chairman of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference in the Ningxia region, Mr. Liu Kui, who is visiting Mauritania at the head of a high-level Chinese delegation.

The meeting addressed the friendly relations and cooperation between Mauritania and China, with a focus on strengthening parliamentary cooperation and developing the bilateral partnership in various areas of mutual interest.

The two sides also reviewed prospects for strengthening relations between the two legislative bodies and exchanged views on a number of common issues.
