Senegalese President Receives the President of the National Assembly

His Excellency the President of the Republic of Senegal, Mr. Bassirou Diomaye Faye, received in Dakar the President of the National Assembly, Mr. Mohamed Bemba Meguet, along with a number of his African counterparts participating in the proceedings of the 32nd African Regional Session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Francophonie.

This meeting provided an opportunity to exchange views on the major challenges facing African countries, particularly in the areas of peace, security, democratic governance, and parliamentary cooperation.

The participants also commended the role played by parliamentary diplomacy in strengthening relations among African countries and consolidating the values of dialogue, consultation, and solidarity within the Francophone community.
