The Minister of Islamic Affairs and Traditional Education, Mr. Al-Fadhil Ould Sidati Ould Ahmed Luli, received Mr. Mansour N’Gai, Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Mauritania, at his office in Nouakchott on Monday morning.
The meeting focused on enhancing cooperation between the Ministry and the UN agency across areas of shared interest.
On this occasion, the Minister underscored the strategic importance of the sector and its pivotal role in advancing government policies, particularly in the fields of awareness and guidance. He also emphasized the importance of aligning ongoing efforts with the sector’s newly developed strategy, which was formulated following a comprehensive and objective assessment carried out over recent months.
For his part, the UNDP Resident Representative welcomed the renewed momentum shaping the sector’s cooperation efforts. He commended the clarity provided by the new strategy in defining key areas of intervention and reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to supporting and strengthening this forward-looking approach.
