President of the Republic from M’Bout: Determined to Intensify Development Efforts and Reduce Social Disparities

His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, affirmed that his visit to the M’Bout district, one of the country’s most prominent districts that receives special attention, aims to review the living conditions of the citizens and listen to their problems and aspirations.

His Excellency explained, during a meeting held yesterday evening Tuesday with the officials of M’Bout district, that the achievements made reflect the government’s determination to drive the wheel of development across various regions of the country, especially in areas that have suffered from developmental delays, including the M’Bout district.

The President of the Republic pointed out that the government is working to improve conditions in the district and continue the efforts made there, emphasizing that what has been achieved so far, despite its importance, is not enough and does not meet the level of aspirations, and that much still needs to be accomplished to improve the happiness of its citizens.

He added that some citizens are still living on the margins of development and suffering from difficult conditions, in light of the large differences between them and the middle class, stressing that what has been achieved should be an incentive to redouble the will and determination and increase the pace of work.

HE the President of the Republic stressed that the government will continue its efforts to fight exclusion and reduce social disparities, in implementation of his directives aimed at providing basic services to citizens, pointing out that significant resources will be allocated for social interventions with a commitment to continue and strengthen this approach.

He pointed out that government support, despite its importance, does not replace the individual effort and personal will of each citizen in order to change his situation for the better, and to get out of the cycle of poverty and dependence on aid, by enhancing the spirit of initiative and independence.

HE the President of the Republic pointed out that the province of M’Bout is full of great capabilities in the fields of agriculture, animal development and minerals, but the investment of these capabilities requires concerted efforts in order to achieve an economic and social leap, stressing the government’s readiness to keep pace with the development of the province and support it in a way that contributes to enhancing economic development at the local and national levels.
