On 3 February, in Nouakchott, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, the President of the Republic, received the credentials of H.E. Mr. Neeraj Agarawal, in his capacity as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India to the Islamic Republic of Mauritania.
The President of the Republic then granted an audience to the Indian diplomat, in the presence of Mr. Mohamed Salem Ould Merzoug, Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad.
At the end of the meeting, the Indian diplomat made a statement to the Mauritanian news agency expressing his delight at presenting his credentials to the President of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania. He also said that during the discussions, both sides affirmed their sincere desire to strengthen and develop bilateral relations in various fields.
He added that he had received assurances from His Excellency, the President of the Republic, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs regarding their full willingness to strengthen cooperation ties, expressing his great pride in the confidence shown by the highest authorities of this friendly country.
