Today, Monday, a meeting of the Joint Committee for the Partnership Agreement in the fishing sector between the Islamic Republic of Mauritania and the European Union kicked off in the city of Las Palmas, Kingdom of Spain, at the AC Iberia Hotel.
The meeting comes within the framework of strengthening bilateral cooperation and assessing the level of implementation of the agreement’s provisions. The two parties discussed various aspects of the partnership, particularly regarding fishing activities and fishing licenses granted during 2024 and 2025, in terms of quantities caught and revenues generated, in addition to reviewing the technical conditions of the protocol governing the agreement.
