Mauritania, France Sign DOI in Mining Sector

On 26 November, in Nouakchott,  Ms. Messouda Mint Baham Mohamed Laghdaf, Minister of Environment and Sustainable Development, acting Minister of Mines and Industry, signed a declaration of intent (DOI) for cooperation in the field of mining and base minerals with Mr. Nicolas Forissier, Minister Delegate for Foreign Trade and French Investment Attractiveness.

The signing aims to strengthen cooperation between Mauritania and France in mining and base minerals, considered a strategic sector for energy transition and sustainable development.

The agreement also demonstrates Mauritania’s commitment to strengthening environmental governance and preserving natural resources.
