The Minister of Social action meets with the UN Assistant High Commissioner for Refugees, on the sidelines of the Second World Summit for Social Development

The Minister of Social Action, Children and Family, Ms. Savia N’Tehah, met today, Wednesday, in Doha, with the Assistant High Commissioner in charge of operations at the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, Mr. Raouf Mazo.
During the meeting, which took place on the sidelines of the Second World Summit on Social Development hosted by the Qatari capital, they reviewed Mauritania’s efforts to support refugees, particularly those related to women, children and refugee families.The two sides stressed the importance of strengthening the existing partnership in order to intensify efforts to protect refugees, assist in social development, and support and care for vulnerable groups.
The meeting was attended by our country’s permanent representative to the United Nations, Mr. Sidi Mohamed Laghdaf, members of the delegation accompanying the Minister, and the representative of the High Commissioner in Mauritania.
