Mauritania presents its Investment Opportunities at the Africa-Singapore Business Forum 2025
Mauritania showcased its investment opportunities during its participation in the African-Singapore Business Forum 2025, in its eighth edition, organized by Enterprise Singapore, which this year focuses on the fields of digital technology, renewable energy, green economy, and sustainability.
A delegation from the Ministry of Mines and Industry, headed by the Director General of Industry Sheikh Sid Mohammed Ould Ahmedou, represented Mauritania at the forum, which included Al-Hadi Ould Mohamed, Director of Studies, Strategies, and Planning, Boubacar Ould Ahmed Bab, Director of Industrial Development and Promotion, and Khadija Abdel Wahab, Director of Restructuring and Company Development.
The special seminar on Mauritania, held on August 27 under the slogan “Mauritania: a Promising Land for Investment and Business Opportunities,” was one of the highlights of the forum, chaired by Singapore’s Minister of Trade and Industry Gan Kim Yong, and attended by a number of businessmen and international investors.During the seminar, the Mauritanian delegation presented information about the country’s economic components, including its vast mineral wealth, promising opportunities in clean energy and green hydrogen, in addition to ongoing reforms to improve the business climate.
It was announced on the sidelines of the forum about preliminary agreements between the Mauritanian Ministry of Mines and Industry and a number of Singaporean companies, pending final signature, which opens the door for joint projects in the sectors of industrial infrastructure, renewable energies, and technology.The African-Singaporean Business Forum, held every two years, is a key platform to enhance cooperation between Africa and Asia and attract investments towards the emerging markets of both continents.
