President of Republic Receives Cote d’Ivoire’s Minister of Foreign Affairs

On 15 July, in Nouakchott, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, the President of the Republic, received His Excellency Mr. Adom Kacou Leon, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Integration, and Ivorians Abroad, who is on an official visit to our country.

After the meeting, the Ivorian Minister made a statement to the Mauritanian news agency, in which he said that he had come as an envoy of the Ivorian President, Mr. Alassane Ouattara, to affirm the solidity of the strong ties of brotherhood and friendship between the two brotherly countries.

He added that he had met with several government members to strengthen and intensify bilateral cooperation, indicating that initiatives in this direction would be taken in the coming days.

The Ivorian official expressed his gratitude to His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, the President of the Republic, for receiving him. He also thanked the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad and the Mauritanian government.
