Defense Minister Holds Talks with EU Special Representative for the Sahel

The Minister of Defense, Retired Persons and Martyrs’ Children Affairs, Mr. Hananna Ould Sidi, held talks on Tuesday at his office at the Ministry’s headquarters in Nouakchott with HE João Cravinho, Special Representative of the European Union (EU) in the Sahel.
The talks dealt with ways to strengthen and develop the existing partnership relations between Mauritania and the European Union, and enhance coordination between the two sides to face common challenges in the Sahel region.
The meeting took place in the presence of Colonel Sheikh Mohamed Lemine Bilal, Director of External Relations at the Ministry of Defense and Affairs of Retired Persons and Children of Martyrs, and the delegation accompanying the EU Special Representative for the Sahel.
