Minister of Islamic Affairs inspects the Conditions of our Pilgrims in Medina

Nouakchott

The Minister of Islamic Affairs and Original Education, Mr. Sid Yahia Ould Cheikhna Ould Lamrabet, together with members of the official delegation, visited on Saturday evening to inspect the conditions of Mauritanian pilgrims in Medina.

The Minister explained that the visit comes within the framework of accompanying our pilgrims and checking their conditions in line with the plan drawn up by the sector this year, under the directives of the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh Ghazouani.

He explained that after the visit and after exchanging conversations with the pilgrims, he confirmed that the indicators are positive, both in terms of the dealings of the supervisors with them, as well as in terms of living and accommodation conditions, noting that the hotel where our pilgrims are staying, which can accommodate 1,000 pilgrims, is only a few meters away from the Prophet’s Mosque, which is the first time that the conditions of the pilgrims are of this quality for the first time.

He said he instructed the organizers to prepare for the movement of pilgrims from Madinah to Mecca, to implement the plan to the fullest, and to benefit from past experiences in this field, noting that the next stage requires tight coordination.
