Human Rights Commissioner Receives Chairperson of (NMPT)

The Commissioner for Human Rights, Humanitarian Action and Relations with Civil Society, Mr. Cheikh Ahmedou Ould Ahmed Salem Ould Sidi, received yesterday, Thursday, in Nouakchott, the Head of the National Mechanism for the Prevention of Torture, Ms. Moulati Mint El Mokhtar.

During the meeting, they reviewed areas of cooperation between the Commission and the Mechanism, in the field of human rights protection and promotion, by strengthening consultation and coordination in areas related to the interventions of the two bodies.

The meeting took place in the presence of the Director of Human Rights, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikhna, and a member of the National Mechanism for the Prevention of Torture, Mr. Abu Bakr Ould Messaoud.
