President of Republic Receives Written Letter from Iraqi Counterpart

His Excellency President Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani received, on Wednesday afternoon at the Presidential Palace in Nouakchott, His Excellency Mr. Mohammed Ali Mohammed Mohammed, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Planning of Iraq, in his capacity as a special envoy of the President of the Republic of Iraq, Mr. Abdul Latif Rashid.

The Iraqi envoy delivered to the President a written letter from the Iraqi President, containing an official invitation to participate in the Arab Summit scheduled to be held on May 17, 2025.

Following the meeting, the Iraqi Minister made a statement to the Mauritanian News Agency, saying that he had delivered to His Excellency the President an invitation from his brother and friend, His Excellency the President of the Republic of Iraq, to participate in the upcoming Arab Summit.

He added that he earnestly requested His Excellency the President to attend the summit due to its great importance, given the challenges facing the Arab region. He confirmed that His Excellency the President promised to attend the summit, describing this as good news to convey to the Iraqi government and people, and wishing success for the preparations for the summit being organized in Baghdad.
