Minister Secretary General of the Presidency of the Republic visits Expo Mauritania 2025

The Secretary General of the Presidency of the Republic, Moulaye Ould Mohamed Laghdaf, visited on Friday evening the second edition of the private sector exhibition, “Expo Mauritania 2025”, organized under the slogan: “The private sector is the engine of economic growth and job creator”.

 

The Secretary General of the Presidency of the Republic, accompanied by the Minister of Mines and Industry, Mr. Thiam Tidjane, the Minister of Agriculture and Food Sovereignty, Mr. Momma ould Beibittaand the President of the National Union of Mauritanian Employers, Mr. Mohamed Zzine El Abidine Ould Cheikh Ahmed, toured the various wings of the exhibition, where they received detailed explanations about what it is all about.

 

In a speech on the occasion, the president of the National Union of Mauritanian Employers praised the number of visitors to the exhibition, both nationals and foreigners, noting that the number of exhibitors has doubled compared to the last edition.

 

He called on citizens to have confidence in local products and industries, inviting them to provide feedback and suggestions about these products.

 

He stressed that the National Union of Mauritanian Employers has large national projects and programs aimed at establishing factories for the most imported products.

 

He also confirmed the union’s support for the Ministry of Mines and Industry’s sector program, in line with the will of His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh Ghazouani.

 

He thanked the citizens who donated blood as part of the blood donation campaign held on the sidelines of Expo Mauritania 2025.

 

It is noteworthy that the exhibition provides a platform to showcase the innovation and development achieved by national products; it is also a strategic tool to enhance cooperation and business partnerships, and promote national products and services, reflecting the dynamism of the national economy and the commitment of the actors to support the slogan “Made in Mauritania”: “Made in Mauritania”.

 

It is worth noting that 11 groups, 75 organizations, and 250 factories, representing various productive and service sectors in the country, are participating in the exhibition.
