Minister of Defense participates in the Defense and Security Exhibition (LAAD) in Brazil

At the invitation of his Brazilian counterpart, His Excellency the Minister of Defense, Retirees and Children of Martyrs, Mr. Hananna Ould Sidi, participated in the fifteenth edition of the Defense and Security Exhibition (LAAD), which was held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from 1 to 4 April 2025.
On the sidelines of the exhibition, the Minister held bilateral meetings with the Brazilian Minister of Defense, Jose Monero, and the Minister and Head of the Office of Institutional Security of the Presidency of the Federative Republic of Brazil, General Marcos Amaro Jo.
The two meetings dealt with ways to enhance bilateral military cooperation, security coordination, and protection of classified information, where two memorandums of understanding were signed between the two countries to embody this cooperation.
These meetings were attended from the Mauritanian side by Ahmed Ould El Hamid, First Counselor at the Embassy of Mauritania in Brazil, Major General Mohamed Ould Cheikh Ould Baida, Chief of Staff of the Air Army, and Colonel Ahmed Salem Hamza, Commander of the Military Cooperation Division at the General Staff of the Armies.
