The Minister of Fisheries, Maritime Infrastructure, and Ports, Mr. El Vadil Ould Sidatty Ould Ahmed Louly, held a meeting on Thursday in Agadir, Kingdom of Morocco, with the Minister of Animal and Fisheries Resources of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire, Mr. Sidi Tiémoko Touré. Mr. Touré is the rotating President of the Ministerial Conference on Cooperation in Fishing among African States bordering the Atlantic Ocean (COMHAFAT).
The meeting took place on the sidelines of the Minister of Fisheries’ visit to the COMHAFAT pavilion at the Agadir Seafood Fair.
During the meeting, the Ivorian minister praised Mauritania’s contribution to the organization.
The two sides discussed the agenda for the Conference of Ministers scheduled for April 24, particularly regarding plans, budgets, and programs, including the Regional Observatory, as well as the election of a new President of the Conference of Ministers.
