Human Rights Commissioner receives UN High Commissioner Office representative for Human Rights

The Commissioner for Human Rights, Humanitarian Action and Relations with Civil Society, Mr. Sid’Ahmed Bennan, received on Monday in Nouakchott, Ms. Teresa Albero, representative of the Office of UN High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) in Mauritania.

During the meeting, they discussed various aspects of partnership and prospects of cooperation between the Commission for Human Rights, Humanitarian Action and Relations with Civil Society and the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR).

Finally, the UN official praised the significant development of human rights in Mauritania, expressing her satisfaction with the level of cooperation between the two parties and her willingness to work to strengthen and develop it.
