Food Security Commissioner returns to Nouakchott

The Commissioner for Food Security, Fatimettou Mint Mahfoudh Ould Khattri, returned to Nouakchott at dawn on Monday from the Italian capital, Rome.

While in the Italian capital, she represented our country at the first session of the 2025 session of the Board of Directors of the United Nations World Food Program, which took place during the past week at the headquarters of the international organization in Rome.

She also held a session of talks with the Director General of International Cooperation at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which dealt with the existing cooperation relations between the two countries and ways to strengthen and develop them, especially in the field of food security.

The Commissioner was accompanied on this trip by Mr. Moustapha Ould Cheikh Abdallahi, in charge of cooperation, and Mr. Ahmed Ould Teguedi, Director of the Resilience Enhancement and Association Projects Department at the Commission.
