On 27 November, in Nouakchott, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El-Ghazouani, the President of the Republic, received the credentials of HE Mr. Fabio Chinda, as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Islamic Republic of Mauritania.
After presenting credentials, the President of the Republic granted the new Armenian Ambassador an audience in the presence of Mr. Mohamed Salem Ould Merzoug, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad.
Shortly after the meeting, the Thai diplomat made a statement to the Mauritanian news agency indicating that during his stay in Mauritania, he would work to promote cooperation between the two countries and strengthen friendly relations between the two peoples.
“I would like to emphasize my gratitude for the opportunity to carry out this honorable and very important mission, and I am convinced that during my tenure, relations between our two countries will develop and our peoples’ dream for closer cooperation will be realized.”
The Thai diplomat expressed his warmest congratulations to all Mauritanians on their country’s National Day.
