President of Republic Arrives in Tifounde Cive in Gorgol

On 25 November, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El-Ghazouani, the President of the Republic, arrived in Tifounde Cive, in the Gorgol wilaya, at the start of a visit to the accommodation centers for citizens affected by the floods caused recently by the rising river.

The President of the Republic was welcomed by Mr. Ahmedna Ould Sidebe, the Wali of Gorgol, Mr. Amadou Abou Ba, the President of the Regional Council of Gorgol, Mr. Sidna Aly Ould El Mostapha Ould Ebih, the Commander of the Central Region of the National Gendarmerie, Lieutenant-Colonel Abdou Mohamed El Agheb, the Commander of the 72nd Airborne Battalion, Mr. Mohamed Salem Ould Bellal, the Hakem of the Kaedi Moughataa,  Mr. Ahmed Mahmoud Ould Addou, the Chef of the sub-district of Tifounde Cive, and other military and security officials, as well as elected representatives of the wilaya.

The inhabitants of Tifounde Cive warmly welcomed the President of the Republic, reflecting their interest in this visit and the achievements made in the different wilayas of the country.
