President of Republic lays foundation stone for expansion of main petroleum products warehouse in Nouakchott

HE President of the Republic Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani on Thursday evening, as part of the activities marking the 64th anniversary of National Independence Day, oversaw the laying of the foundation stone for the expansion of the main petroleum products warehouse in Nouakchott

After unveiling the commemorative sign, HE the President of the Republic received a presentation on the technical parameters of this project and its contribution to strengthening the country’s energy sovereignty

The project will overcome the risk of fuel supply interruptions by building a storage capacity of 100,000 cubic meters, including 51,000 meters of diesel, 34,000 meters of fuel, 10,000 meters of gasoline, and 5,000 meters of kerosene

The total cost of this project is 36 US million dollars, which will be financed by incorporating this cost into the price per metric ton sold by the strategic supplier
