Commissioner for Food Security Receives Italian Ambassador

On 21 November, in Nouakchott, Mrs. Fatimetou Mint Khattri, the Commissioner for Food Security, received Mr. Laura Botta, the Italian Ambassador to Mauritania.

The meeting focused on cooperative relations between the two friendly countries and ways of strengthening and developing them, particularly in food security and support for the resilience of vulnerable groups.

The Commissioner and the Italian Ambassador reviewed aspects of cooperation between the CSA and Italian Cooperation, particularly the program to support agricultural production in central and eastern Mauritania.

The Italian Ambassador welcomed the excellent cooperation between Mauritania and Italy, particularly support for agricultural production and strengthening the resilience of vulnerable classes. She expressed her satisfaction with the CSA’s efforts in this area, affirming the readiness of Italian cooperation to strengthen and diversify the partnership with the Commissioner’s Office in this field.
