Human Rights Commissioner heads to Jeddah to participate in conference about refugees and displaced persons in the Sahel and Lake Chad

The Commissioner for Human Rights, Humanitarian Action and Relations with Civil Society, Mr. Sid Ahmed Bennan, left Nouakchott at dawn on Wednesday for Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, at the invitation of the Advisor to the Royal Court, Supervisor of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, to participate in a donor conference to mobilize resources to support refugees and displaced persons in the Sahel region and the Lake Chad Basin, in response to an invitation from the Royal Court’s Advisor to the King Salman Humanitarian Aid Center.
The conference will be held at the headquarters of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Jeddah on the 26th of this month.
