The Minister of Environment and Sustainable Development, Ms. Messaouda Mint Baham Ould Mohamed Laghdaf, returned to Nouakchott last night from the United Arab Emirates after participating in the high-level ministerial session of the International Green Economy Organization (IGEO), which took place in Dubai on October 2-3.
Organized under the theme “Strengthening the Global Effort to Unlock Opportunity and Develop Progress”, the course brought together primarily decision-makers and experts committed to the global economy’s transformation towards sustainability.
Mauritania’s participation in this meeting reflected its continued commitment to promoting the green economy and international cooperation for sustainable development.
The Minister of Environment and Sustainable Development, accompanied by the Assistant Director of the Directorate of Climate and Green Economy at the Ministry, Mr. Sow Mohamedou, Mauritania’s point of contact with the International Green Economy Organization.
