President of Republic, AU Chairperson, Leaves for New York To Participate in UN General Assembly

On 21 September, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, the President of the Republic and Chairperson of the African Union, left Nouakchott for New York, United States of America, to participate in the 79th session of the UN General Assembly.

Upon his departure from Nouakchott-Oumtounsy International Airport, His Excellency, the President of the Republic was greeted by Prime Minister Moctar Ould Diay, the Minister Secretary General of the Presidency of the Republic, the two Ministers Counselors at the Presidency of the Republic, members of the Government, the Chief of Staff of the President of the Republic, the Deputy Directors of Cabinet of the President of the Republic, the Wali of Nouakchott West and the Vice President of the Nouakchott Region.

Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh el Ghazouani is accompanied by a large delegation composed of:

– Mr. Nani Ould Chrougha, the Minister in charge of the President of the Republic’s Cabinet;

– Mr. Mohamed Salem Ould Merzoug, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad;

– Mr. Sid’Ahmed Ould Bouh, the Minister of Economy and Finance;

– Mr. Mohamed Ould Mohamed Malainine Ould Khaled, the Minister of Oil and Energy;

– Ms. Messouda Mint Baham Ould Mohamed Laghdaf, the Minister of the Environment and Sustainable Development;

– Mr. Sidi Ould Mohamed Laghdaf, the Ambassador of Mauritania to the United Nations in New York;

– Ms. Cisse Mint Cheikh Ould Boida, the Ambassador of Mauritania in Washington;

– Ms. Khadijetou Mbareck Fall, the Ambassador of Mauritania in Addis Ababa;

– Mr. Saleh Ould Dehmach, an Officer in Charge of Special Duties at the Presidency of the Republic;

– Mr. Mohamedou Ould Mheimid, an Advisor at the Presidency of the Republic;

– Mr. Etah Ould Ahmed Maouloud, an Advisor at the Presidency of the Republic;
