Prime Minister chairs a Meeting of the Investment Ministerial Committee

The Prime Minister Mr. Mokhtar Ould Diay chaired on Wednesday at the First Ministry a meeting of the ministerial committee in charge of this file, in order to improve the legal framework governing investments in the country and the approval of investment units.

In his speech to frame the discussion, the Prime Minister emphasized that the government will spare no effort to put in place the necessary regulatory frameworks and reforms to push national enterprises towards greater development and competitiveness on the one hand, and to overcome all obstacles that hinder the achievement of this goal on the other hand.

The meeting was an opportunity to study and discuss the report of the technical committee to study the applications submitted by investment units. After deliberation and discussion, the ministerial committee approved the files that are in line with the government’s priorities in the field of investment, industrial development and tourism.

The Prime Minister committed the concerned sectors to the need for continuous coordination and concerted efforts to create wealth and jobs for the benefit of our citizens and to create a favorable environment to make our country a favorable destination for investment.
