The International Media Centre for the ninth summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC), scheduled to be held on September 4, 2024, opened on Monday at the International Convention Centre in Beijing.
The media center hosted the first press conference for the forum, which is one of the most important economic blocs in the world, where a number of Chinese officials answered questions from journalists that revolved around the expectations of both China and African countries from this summit and the volume of cooperation between the two parties.
Founded in 2000, the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) brings together African countries that have diplomatic relations with China, as well as the African Union Commission, and is hosted alternately in Beijing and major African capitals.
